Well, Just talked to the dealer, and got the first push-back on my delivery date. Seems it will be 2 more weeks...so the wait continues. He told me to expect it, but he is trying to keep it as close to when promised as possible. Also, gave in to the rental gods this weekend and took a Electra-Glide classic for a couple of days. Shouldn't have sold my other bike so soon, and DEFINITELY should not have rented the classic...I did not want to return it!!!!! Just made me even more glad that I took the leap from a 600cc metric to a 88" Harley. I cannot wait until it gets here...isn't it September yet?? Also, Anybody installed the LED spoilers on the bags and tour pak yet? Is it difficult?
Sorry to hear about the push-back. Guess that just comes along with ordering though; I hear it happening all the time. But, as you already know, the wait is worth it. We'll be expecting pics.
Mine got pushed back to the end of next week from an original date of 8-10-05. Do you have a definite date given to you? All the dealer told me was it was shipped the 12th and would be ready the middle to end of next week with all the modifications. Guess I'm in the same boat with you. I sold the bike I was riding and thought I was only gonna have a one week gap, that one week gap has turned into 1 month.
Hopefully it stays at only 1 month. Imagine all those people that have to wait like 6 months...OUCH!!

yes, my original date was 5 Sept, but the new ship date is the 16th, so I am guessing I will see it around the 20th or so. Not getting much P&A initially, so setup should not be too long.

I put one on my trunk lid.
It ain't much of a big deal, was just hard for me to drill holes into my bike
It will take about a hour and a 1/2, I also had the luggage rack to work around.

I had a car dealer tell me that they reserrve the right to install their name plate on the trunk and that they were going to do it before delivery. It was the kind that used rivets (back in 1969) I had ordered the car with special options and when I went to pick it up, there it was rivited on after I told them I didn't want it on there. They kept the car and I got my deposit back after an ordeal.[:@]
