Evertime I turn it on, the key stays on for a second with the FI engine light before i start it. Someone said I had to ahve the stealer reporgram the bike since I added the smart siren II. Where can I find out how to do this myself? I have the manual, but didn't see anything about this in there. Please help...Thanks.
Well,
Your post tells me you are shuting down your bike with the ignition and not the kill switch.
Just went out and tried mine,(06 Ultra) and with the kill switch in the OFF position, the little key light comes on with the ignition switch and shuts down after the computer cycles through. Then the FI engine light will come on and cycle through with the kill switch being cycled to ON.
BUT......
With th kill switch in the ON postion when turning on the ignition, BOTH lights will cycle through at the same time. (the FI telling you it has primed and pressureized the system, and the key with the self diagnistic check)

In your previous post ... you said you added an alarm module ... not a siren. Alarm modules have to be programmed to your bike at the dealer.
Thanks for that info. Sometimes I use the kill switch and sometimes the ignition. I'll try kill switch only from now on...
whats wrong with using the key to turn off your bike?? I do it all the time, I dont think I have ever used the kill switch, on purpose that is. (I have no alarm or siren, does that make a difference?)
