This might seem trivial, but I promise I have a point to this post...
I recently put Roland's Sands 16" King Apes on my FXDB. Now my black HD mirrors sit way high, which is still fine to see behind/around me, but I think looks goofy.
So... I un bolted them and hung them underneath, pretty simple and looks good.
Problem: The mirrors don't tilt up (which is really down when mounted the correct way) enough so that I can see. Moving them as far as I could, I could still only see the ground.
So the question is.... Any suggestions for mirrors that have a bigger range of motion or are designed to be hung under ape hangers?
You might try rotating the control housings slightly forward. That should allow adjusting the mirrors to view the road behind you instead of just the ground.

I thought about flipping mine for the same reason right after I put my bars on. However it did not bother me enough to do it right away. Now after some time with them on top I will never move them. I like how much I can see with them up high. Even more true when the pack is going through a town.
Well that's the mirror I got on there now and it's fine. It was bigger than expected after receiving it but I put it on anyway. I actually have a 3" round mirror that I wanna try out, just haven't had the weather to ride yet
