I would rather start with the impact driver then a drill, but then I only have 25+ years in the trade...

cheers

keep in mind some of the covers also have dummy fasteners on them--------------I watched a guy drill a bunch of allen headed bolts out of his cover when for whatever reason he missed all the right ones and tried removing the dummys. It was wrong to sit and watch and fight hard to keep from laughing.I wasnt the only one doing it and several trips had to be made outside to keep from having out of control laughter

Try hand impact first if you have to drill use a left handed bit works every time

Try tapping in a little larger torx, sometimes the impact will loosen it then if that fails the reverse drill bit is a great option. Finally a easy out should finish the job.

Couldn't agree more.

The title of my book will be "Everything's a piece of ****, it's just a matter of how bad". Nothing is good. It just sucks less than everything else.

Pride in workmanship mostly went out the window when everything started being imported and outsourced. Now it's all about how cheap can we make it so we can make a higher profit.

May I ask why you just watched and laughed instead of offering some guidance? You yourself admit it was "wrong."
