They can be fun sometimes....once I won a $500.00 gift certificate from the local HD Dealer for the winning hand (four Jacks).

I went on one where the winning hand was a royal flush, the second place hand was four aces. There were only about 200 participants, I don't do that one any more.

Sounds like the cards were marked as well as the route.

It's about the same as the horse kind, except most of the participants don't crap all over the place.
I did say "most".

That's funny but also has some truth to it.

I have been on 40 to 50 poker runs and no one has ever gotten drunk or dangerous that I can recall. That,s saying a lot for living in south Louisiana. Never seen an accident in any of them.

I have been on quite a few and have never had any problems. I usually go with a buddy or 2 so I have never really had to ride with people I don't know. You and the bf just ride you own ride and when you get to each stop, be sociable if you want and then on to the next stop. They are a pretty good time and you have the opportunity to meet some cool people.

Let us know how you liked it and if you won anything.

Don't forget, at each stop you get a playing card. The person at the end of the run who still has all his playing cards wins!
