Just a tip. During storage of your scoot keep your jiffy stand off of concrete to prevent electrolysis from taking place which will corrode some components on your bike.
I don't store my bike but a couple of weeks back we had a couple of weeks where it rained quite a bit and my bike was stored in my shop and covered. When I went to ride I noticed that there was a powdery substance that was forming on the fins of my jugs and on the extension that holds the breather element in place. I found out from a friend that it was electrolysis that caused this and that it could be prevented by simply placing something rubber or anything that would prevent the jiffy stand from touching the concrete and grounding the bike. I was luckey , I was able to clean it all off, but had I been storing it for a couple of months.......who knows.
Never heard of this, and after storing bikes for winter months for many years, have never experienced this.Maybe we can get some other replies to this and to why it would happen with a bikes electrical system that was grounded and functioning correctly.I have had this white powdery substance on mowers and etc after being stored, but that was due to condensation problems and ventilation.
never heard of that where I live, I store both my bikes in a cold garage on their wheels and jiffy stand, so far nothing and this will be the 40th year.
