Default Jiffy Stand

OK, I've dropped my 07' RG onto the garage floor three times in as many weeks. I have to get the bike as close to the garage wall as possible to make room for my truck and the standard jiffy stand lets the bike lean over too far unless I put a block of wood under it...if the stand slips off the block the bike falls on it's side. My back is starting to hurt and I'll need a new paint job soon.
Does anyone know if a longer jiffy stand is available?

I would bolt the block of wood to the floor and cut a small groove in it so that the stand can not slip off the block.

I wouldn't change it. Just put some large eye-screws into the garage wall and run some straps to the bike to prvent it from moving. I'm sure you could figure something out to stabilize the bike.

I solved that sort of problem by deciding to live alone and buying a house with a 3 car garage... Although the other suggestions were probably more practical. Leave the truck outside....

Heres another suggestion. Get the Harley center stand.

Have a friend that bought a "Condor" bike stand, the free standing one, not the trailer mount one. He bought it for the same reason, not enough room in his garage. The bike stores straight up , not leaned over. ( his bikes a Ultra )

How big of a block are you using?? I'm assuming your garage has a level floor. I use a 2x4 under my kickstand (I hate using the word Jiffy with a Harley) all the time, to make it easier getting my jack under the bike. No problems at all. Make sure the bike is in gear and the wheel turned to put the weight on the kickstand. Otherwise, like everyone says, leave your truck outside. That's where my Explorer stays.

Yup, leave the four wheel vehicle outside and that gives you lots of room to clean, wax, drool, on your HD! It'll make your garage look bigger too...More room for tools also..

Reminds me of what my dear old grandad told me, "Marry a woman with small hamds, it'll make your pecker look bigger".
