Default So why do I feel like such a wussy now...

I really did it...I bought a trailer to pull behind my 96 Road King to Sturgis this year. Maybe I should have just dropped shipped our tent and gear up there and saved the $1200. It looks pretty good behind it actually but I'm eating a little crow about it and I feel like I've pussyfied my bike......probably more my pride than anything. I have heard every possible thing about trailers, good and bad and have learned to each their own on the trailer question but it's just sinking in for me.

And NO I'm not hatin' on you loyal trailer hands. I'm just not sure I will like it now. Going for some trial runs...

LOL, that's true. I've just always said to my trailer "behind bike" buddies that if they really need that much crap then take the cage. That's the crow I'm eating.

On the other hand, the ol'lady loves it

Make sure you keep your tires properly inflated. More blowouts with a trailer.

When your buddies ask if you have room for their helmets and leathers when you stop for lunch, ask for an apology first.

Guys w trailers are usually the ones that get out and ride, and end up quite a ways from home.......
Guys that just ride to the bars are the ones that usually rag on em....
:-) :-)

Enjoy your trailer.

Ain't no shame in pullin a box behind a bike. I was pullin a trailer behind my Softail in the mid 1980's. You never saw anyone pullin a trailer behind any Harley back then, much less a Softail. I got a lot of **** for it from other Harley riders but I didn't care, I traveled in comfort.

I have never given a Rat,s *** about what I did or how I looked. As long as you are happy keep on doing what your doing.I know a local guy that usually has a cut up shopping cart on the back of his old panhead,or what ever he is riding that day..Any one around Burksville Kentucky that knows John Newbie knows what I mean..
