Well we finally got moved we live in Hot Springs Village AR now, still havn't got the bikes out for a ride yet and they really need a bath 2200 miles of snow and rain in the back of a trailer
looking forward to meeting some people and riding hwy 7 right by our house what a great road.
Hot Springs is a cool place. Lots of great riding and the town is very motorcycle friendly. There's a couple of decent rally's held there...H.O.G. rally the 1st weekend of May and the Hot Springs rally the 1st weekend of September. You should plan a long weekend and take Hwy 7 all the way up to the Eureka Springs area. Hwy 7 gets even better when you get north of Interstate 40.
Gets HOT in the summer!!!! My wife's family live out there and I won't go visiting between middle of June and end of September. North of 40 is the nicest parts that I have seen, hills and hardwood trees. South of 40 and your in flatter ground and pine's, although the south west isn't to bad.

I was born and raised in Hot Springs and spent the first 28 years of my life there. Funny but my father and step mom live in the Village also. I'm sure you will enjoy it and the area.
I grew up on Lake Hamilton and my dad had house boats up on Quachita for many years. The lakes are awesome.
Head up Hwy 7 North to Petty Jean and get up to Eureka Springs this summer. Lots of great riding.
I live in North Texas have ridden there quite a bit and the roads are top notch! Lots of tight curves, long sweepers, straight aways, its all good. The roads are in very good condition and the signage for the curves is very consistent as an aid is guessing your speed into a blind corner. There is also very little traffic overall and very little police pressure. Everything north of I-40 is GREAT and everything south of I-40 is pretty dang good also, but a little flatter. There are limited gas stations in some of the areas north of I-40, once you get into the national forrest. Great scenery with lots of woods and streams. Surprisingly, there arent a lot of deer or pigs to avoid; just you usual roadkill varmits.
It does get smoking hot and humid in the summer and also rains quite a bit; but it aint Oregon.
Get a good map and start methodically hitting all the roads. You'll be in riding heaven!!
Note that there are a LOT of dirt roads and some of the paved roads will suddenly turn to dirt.
