I finally got to try out my street glide with my new ohlins shocks installed.
what a difference!!
I hated the harley air shocks. i put the ohlins on my road king and now my street glide. in my opinion it's the best improvement you can make to your harley touring bike.
Good move. As you ride you may find yourself fine tuning them for different terrain and 1 or 2 up riding. My experience was like night and day after shedding the po's idea of suspension imrovement.
Very soon after purchasing my rk I removed the lowering kit installed and replaced the short air shocks and shackles with a set of ohlins and at the same time added a tour link to get rid of the ill handling characteristics the po tolerated.
While the improvement is great, and I'm big on functional customization, the front end is next to get attention to get rid of the compression, or dive, I do not like during braking.
