Get yourself out of the hole you're in already before taking on more debt. Worst case scenario you'll still be able to (hopefully) have a roof over your head and eat. No shame in riding the Honda, they're good bikes.
I too suggest paying off the high interest credit cards first, but if your credit is so bad then u will be paying high interest to finance the bike anyways so either way you will end up paying a buttload of interest...
HOWEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...
I will say this... Lets just say I know a person (we'll say its a friend of a friend), who had a 580 something credit score, and was still able to finance a used bike from the dealership for like 24% interest...
Don't mean to kick you while you're down but sounds like what you're doing right now might be part of the reason you're in this mess. Correct me if I'm wrong but bankruptcies void after 7 yrs right? Why not keep riding your Honda for a few more years and get those credit cards paid off and save up a good chunk of money to throw down on a used Harley. You'll be better off for it and not have to pay over $10k for some busted up bike. Don't let your wants get in the way of your needs.
I hear that same stupid line all the time. What a legacy to leave for your kids. My last cheque bounced? I hope you give your kids better advice than that.
It's a joke, and yes, my kids are very well taken care of - especially after I'm dead.
