Default flush gas cap problem

I love my gas caps but have a little problem. I put a little too much fuel in the other day and it loosened up the adhesive on the trim ring.

So I was wondering if if anyone can help me with find an adhesive that I can use to reapply the trim ring.

Mine fell off also. I just used a little Gorilla Glue so that it doesn't happen again. Now of course if I ever want to remove it to change it or something, I'll probably mangle the **** out of it. Oh well, guess it will stay on there!

I would was thinking that there is a 3M product use to add molding, emblems, etc would be best to use. Do I need to get this at a Lowes or body shop?

Most large retail auto parts stores sell the auto-grade double stick tape.

Even Walmart sometimes has good 3M auto body tape. I bought some there to fix a piece of molding for my car and it's held up for months down.

I got rid of my flush caps a while back because the gas cap would not stay together. It's not a high quality part or at least the version I had wasn't
