I installed the Harley Pop up gas cap on my Heritage early this spring. Today while detailing I noticed that the cap no longer sits down into the trim ring. The cap itself now sits above the trim ring. Is there anything I can do..really hate the look of it.
I'm considering adding these...I've heard to avoid the $20 ebay ones....$80 for gas caps kinda turns me off....anyone running the cheaper ones with good luck?
Actually I took the cap off yesterday and begin to twist the top while holding the threaded part of the cap. It started to click as I twisted it as if the cap was getting tighter to the rest of the cap. (hope that makes sense). Anyhow put it and looks a lot better..actually going to pull it out this evening and do it again..
