I saw a black and silver Nightster yesterday. I was hoping it would follow me home.

OK guys don't kick me off the board my touring bike is a Goldwing. I have ridden twins mostly HD for 36 years. I cut my teeth on BSA and Triumph.

If this would be a second bike and you just sold an Electra Glide, what do you have as your only bike now?

I'd shop hard for a good used one if I was dead-set on getting a Sporty for a second bike.

It's ok......I figgered it was something other thana Harley for you to be asking such a question after selling a SE EG and looking at a Sporty for a second bike. Can't leave the family for good.....eh?

I'd still get a good used one over a new one if it were me. But then again, I sold my Goldwing to get an UC.....

I have a 1200 custom which I love BUT if the Nightster had been available at the time for the same price I would have bought that bike.

My wife just said get the Nightster if that's what you really want. Maybe it's the years in the US Army, but you only have to tell me once! Thanks guys for your input.

I sat on one earlier this week at a dealer. I'm only 5'6" (on a good day) and it actually felttoo smallfor me. I do think it's a cool looking bike but I could easily see my knees and legs cramping up after just an hour or two of riding.

With my '07 XL 1200L I can dig into corners more than I could on other bikes. Its a quick lil piggy and it'll kick if you let it goose you. Agility is a great asset to the Sporty. So it lacks in size, but that's exactly what makes it the great bike that it is. Smaller, lighter, and with enough HP to get'up an go.

I have the 1200 C which I love but if I was buying a "second" bike to my touring bike, I would definetly go with the Nightster.
