How about a full face helmet (keep the visor on the helmet, but open, and wear sunglasses), and a Lycra "skin" hood which you can get at any scuba dealership?

Also check this site for some good sun gear, I wear their hats while I'm outside. They also have some clothing like sleeves for your arms.

OP I use a silk scarf in the summer. It measures 24x24. Covers face and neck. Works great. Cowboys been using them forever. Bout $20 for one.
