MikeTD3, how do you like the Wild Pug mufflers? I was thinking about them when I initially changed exhaust. I went with a Thunder Header 2-1 at first though. I really like my Dresser Duals with the 4" Jackpot mufflers. I should have went with my gut initially and got the Dresser Duals. I could have saved some money.
I'm very happy with them, I bought a blem set on ebay and I could not find the blemish on the the pipes; I think I paid just under $200 shipped. I went with the 1 3/4 baffles and get a lot of compliments on the sound, not too loud (treehugger crowd is winning in Maine) but a nice rumble when cruising and decent bark when on the gas.
I would and do recommend them to anyone looking for reasonably priced slip on pipes.
Not disagreeing at all with those who said it wouldn't hurt anything; I tend to agree with that... just sharing an experience.
When I took my bike in for the Stage 2 big bore and cams (dealer installed), they requested that I bring my laptop with me and so I could flash the new map to the PCV at the time I dropped the bike off. That way, they explained, when the work was done and they test rode it, it would have the correct map. Made sense. So I got the map from Jamie and had it ready when I took the bike in.
