I am having the SE-255 Cam installed in my Road King. I told the guy at HD that I have a PowerVision and am waiting on a map from FuelMoto for the cam. I asked him if I didn't have the map in time, what would happen because I'm sure they will want to start it up. He said since I already have a map for my stage 1 that it isn't much of a difference from the stock cam it should be ok to start it and ride it home. I told him I was worried about the Volumetric Efficiency and it running lean because the cam should change the way air flows thru the engine. He assured me it will be ok.
Do you guys think I have anything to worry about or will my bike be ok to ride?
I am running a stage 1 download right now with my Andrews 26H cams and i really can't tell much difference than with my PCIII with canned map from Fuel Moto...I am getting ready to put a PC5 and a dyno tune...hope it will make a difference.
To answer your question about riding yours with the download...it will be fine...
Fuel Moto came through today with the map, so I'm good on that end. LOL at FlamedFXR on the Volumetric Efficiency comment, that was good. The airflow and timing should change with the cam though. When I compared the maps, the Cam map was richer and the timing was different. I am really looking forward to some better low end torque and hopefully I will get a nice Harley potato potato lope on idle. I keep telling myself this is the last mod I'm going to do(don't we all?). Thanks for the responses.
