The forecast is sunny, no wind with a high of 71 degrees. So I'm taking the day off and going on my first road trip on the new RKC with the wife. We're stopping at Forman H-D in Stillwater to get all leathered up and outfitted. That 20% off card is just burning a hole in my pocket. Of course we'll have to stop at Eskimo Joe's next to the OSU campus for a beer and a burger. Then it's on to Okarche, home of Oklahoma's oldest bar, Eischen's. World famous for their secret recipe fried chicken and okra. The entire route is going to be about 240 miles. We're leaving at 8:45 and hope to be back at sunset.
Cool! My old stomping grounds. Eskimo Joe's... great, goofy t-shirts. And fried okra... yum. You'll have that week old bike headed in for the 1,000 mile service soon! Ride safe.
It's going to be 70 here today in Louisiana. I am out the door as we speak to ride. Don't have to go to work until 2, but I feel a cough coming on. Might be a good day to use some sick leave.

Made itback about 1/2 hour ago. Total trip mileage was 251 miles. I've had my bike for four days and already have 490 miles on it. Geez, what a great day for riding.
Bob, I won a beer drinking contest at Eskimo Joe's back in 1977! I won a big neon beer light. It sure looked cool in the dorm room. I found out later that they actually have a school there in Stilwater! I never could find the classes, but the strip was easy enough to find! Congrats on the new bike.
