I ride an FLH because, well, there's the FLH then there's everything else! Seriously, I wanted a springer softail for a long time. Springer, springer, it was all I talked about when I was still riding my POS jap bike until that fateful day at breakfast before the Sturgis toy run. This old biker said, phuk that springer, the way you ride ya need an FLH. Of course, my 23 year old response was, "i'm not old or a Shriner, so phuk that noise". After reminding me that his leathers were older than me, he told me to come by and I could take his FLHS for a few days! True to his word, two weeks later we showed up and after he went over everything with me, I pulled that heavy SOB off the sidestand and off we went! Of course the first place we went was Milwaukee to tour the plant. We rode all over WI, IL,IN and OH. (there was still a lid law in MI) When we returned a week later, I knew this was the only bike i was ever going to need. I was riding a bagger before it was cool or there were magazines devoted to them so I took almost as much $hit for riding an Electra glide as I did riding rice. Now there was no more figuring out how to pack for a week two up with a pair of MIL surplus throw over saddle bags and a tank bag. Gone was the feeling beat up and limping after 5-6 hours. So while I'd still like that springer, If I ever get one, it's going to be parked next to a high mileage bagger!

Bought my Deluxe in '04 because it looked the best. Traded it for the Fatbob in '09 because it felt the best.

If I'd had the money I'd have kept both...and added a Sportster and RKC.

My ride is a FLHRI. It is the most comfortable ride I've had so far. I like the ease of starting without the need for a choke or having to rev the engine to keep it going, and no petcock to remember to turn on or off. The versatility of being able to remove the windshield just by pulling it forward then up and out. Lockable bags are big enough for plenty of storage. I have a luggage rack for anything that won't fit in bags. Works for me....

Road King... Wanted a comfortable versatile bike with bags but hate windshields and fairings...... Sort of a no brainer for me at this point.

rocker c....love the tight fit of the engine inside the frame (hard mounted), at the time when i bought it (2008) it was the first year for the rocker and i wanted something different. Now that they don't make them anymore makes me more excited because you rarely see them on the road
