I wanted to see what you guys that wear glasses are doing when riding at night or cloudy days where you don't wear sunglasses. I have a full helmet and half helmet and greatly prefer the half helmet. Only problem is when I get up to a decent speed wind is rushing in around my glasses and its hard to see. My sunglasses do ok because they wrap further around my eyes but my regular glasses are killing me.
I wear the HD profile glasses which I've had both prescription clear and dark lenses made. Just change the lenses to clear when it's too dark for sunglasses. No issues with the wind as they have a foam insert to keep out debris and wind. There are two holes in the nose cone for ventilation to keep them from fogging up.
+1 on the windshield. I have an SG & wear scripts and always wore a 3/4 helmet because of the eyeglass thing. This spring, just for the hell of it, I rode without a helmet and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of wind I got behind my glasses. Now a wear Akkoury half shell and love it.
So yeah, get an ugly old windshield on that thing and you'll be good to go with your half helmet and regular glasses!
+1 on the windshield as I have a fatboy with a windshield and can ride with out a helmet
They do make clear lens riding glasses that are just like the dark lensed ones. Go to the shop and pick up a pair. They work great with half helmets. I only wear the halfers since I don't like the feeling of my hearing being impaired while they're stuffed in a helmet
Unless you are wearing earplugs your hearing is more severely impaired by wind noise than it would be by a full face helmet.
I wish we could get a good thread going with PICS of prescription glasses/goggles on riders. I bought a pair of clear prescription wrap-arounds on line and the very helpful gal sent me four frames to try on because the one I picked would have made me look like a dork. I'd never buy on line without being able to try them on first.
Anyway, I wear those clear ones at night and early morns. For daytime, I have a very well fitting pair of 'over the glasses' sunglasses I got at Meijers for about $14.
I'm looking for a good pair of transitions that can handle both day and night though.

Oakley Valves can be fitted by you eye doctor for both frame size and lenses, then just wear them all the time.
I've been searching for good prescription riding glasses for some time now; the local HD dealership stocks Wiley-X, and with prescription they come to around $400 (for the Echo model). I am trying to price compare yet few vision places stock or know about these. Has anyone found a lesser cost place for Wiley-X riding glasses or are they all about the same?
