I've been searching for good prescription riding glasses for some time now; the local HD dealership stocks Wiley-X, and with prescription they come to around $400 (for the Echo model). I am trying to price compare yet few vision places stock or know about these. Has anyone found a lesser cost place for Wiley-X riding glasses or are they all about the same?
I ride with a half helmet and my glasses have photo gray so I do not need sun glasses. I ride rain or shine but I all so ride a Ultra. When I was young I had a pair of goggles made to go over glasses. I still have them on the bike just in case.
I wanted to see what you guys that wear glasses are doing when riding at night or cloudy days where you don't wear sunglasses. I have a full helmet and half helmet and greatly prefer the half helmet. Only problem is when I get up to a decent speed wind is rushing in around my glasses and its hard to see. My sunglasses do ok because they wrap further around my eyes but my regular glasses are killing me.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I wear Wiley X . My optometrist sent my prescription out and had lenses made for them. Very happy with the final product.
Prescription transition glasses....motorcycle specific. They wrap around, darken nicely inbright sun, clear out when dark, and they are bifocals. Cost just under $300. 1pair and no issues.
