Now we can ride double to the dps , or take two vehicles.(80 mile round trip)

I chose to ride double , but according to this forum that is "gay"

I just need permission from you posters to ride double and not be scorned/flamed.
He did ride with me when he was 5-6 years old , and it was not a social problem.
Now , I understand times have changed , and I want to be sure it is OK , with you guys.
Back in the 70's when I started riding it wasn't "gay." If a buddy needed a lift, you handed him your extra helmet and rode off with no concerns. I don't know what changed since then, but I'm guessing the homophobic crowd with their small tools had something to do with it.

Default doubled up

i am AD military stationed overseas in italy and was at a biker rally. one of my best friends is italian and is married to a woman. i was trying to give them directions to the bungalow that we were all going to be staying at, but obviously, the language barriers (especially as i had been drinking) were quite problematic. they finally rolled up to where our group was sitting, so i ran over to greet them. rather than try and struggle with the directions again, i took his wifes helmet, (size small) plopped it on my head, and jumped on the back of his bike. i was also wearing my vest, and plaid golf pants. ppl dont say anything to me cause im not a small person, and i am kinda sorta the out of control love to party and have a good time type of person that people love to be around. As to you riding with your son on the back, there are age restrictions. as a child, it is ok. as an aged adult, that is fine. in the middle category such as 18-49, not so much...

Have him tie his shirt up in the front. That should get people thinking!

I think this only affects America, everyone knows the Italians go both ways.

I'd say its fine. I had my father on the back of mine. We were out riding and he caught a nail in his tire. Limped into the next small town and found a motorcycle shop but of course his tire wasnt in stock. Ended up leaving the bike there while the tire was on order and he rode 80 miles back home on the back of mine. Shop owner thought it was funny as hell. Took pictures and posted them on facebook.
