Looked it up and a new road glide would be a little over $21,000 so $25,000 just to be safe

$5 grand more than it's worth judging from market prices today..
Really, I would never sell if for what it's really worth, so I'll just keep it
until either I croak, or can't hold it up anymore.
It took some time and money to get it the way I wanted, so I really
wouldn't want to start over again. Plus, it's paid for, so why not just keep it.
Your answer is $15K if you really want to know.
That might make me change my mind, even though is probably only worth
$10-12 (05 Road King Custom) judging from other sales I've seen.

I would accept the amount to buy a stock knucklehead bagger like one of my old ones from years ago. Its possible I might trade for a new trike...but the knuckle is the first choice.

I like mine the way it is but I'd sell it if someone was willing to pay me what it would cost for me to get a new one the way I'd like a new one to be. That would at least be new OTD price plus the additional cost of cams, seat, pipes, intake, maybe bars, and a tuner. I'll foot the bill for anything else I may want for it.

Now that I've got the scoot just how I want her (for now) I couldn't sell it and get back what I have in her. I couldn't afford another, and sure as hell wouldn't want to start over. So it would be some unrealistic amount. Like the rest of you, what my bike is worth to me isn't realistic.

that's awesome. can't put a price tag on history.

this was my point. mine isn't anywhere close to for sale. but if someone were to come bowl me over with a number it would be.

I ain't all mushy over a motorcycle. $11,000 would take it.
I would just buy another to replace it in a different color.

No number is enough. This bike will be my sons when I can't get a leg over it anymore.

Ah realistic, that's the key word. But,but,but.......you'd never know that from some of the prices people are asking for used ones..

I guess if one adds 6k worth of skulls one can add 6.5K to the realistic price they are asking...

If I'm not looking to sell, I would need to be offered enough to make a moderate to sizable profit, to buy a new softail with room for mods.
So for me probably at least $3K over the price of a new bike.
