Helmets are optional
Actually it is not funny. It is really mean spirited to take away 'freedom of choice' by making a person have to consider total nonsense when making their choice. Someone could claim, and it would be as valid as the 'broken neck' nonsense, that the chin bar on a FF helmet will get caught on something while a rider, that has crashed, is tumbling down the street. And then his/her head would be torn off, leaving blood gushing out of their neck hole.
Wear a helmet, or don't. I couldn't possibly care less. Just be prepared for a life altering event worse then can be imagined. And it's even worse if a person doesn't have the 'grey matter' to pursue a career within their new level of abilities.

Most of those people apparently don't come to helmet threads anymore. Then there is the one that posted an advertisement showing the 1/2 helmet he now wears. Perhaps some others wear helmets now also?

I think using common sense and paying the fvck attention to what's going on around you goes a long way to keeping you safer. All the armor in the world ain't much use if you plow into the back of a dump truck because you were a bit tipsy, following too close and have no idea how to handle that 800lb bike in an emergency.
