Rear brake light

Rear brake light

Any body have a problem with the rear tail light not coming on when you press rear brake pedal,if so whats the fix??

Bad brake switch. Look under your exhaust, follow the brake line from the MC to the caliper, you can't miss it. get a small piece of wire and jumper across the wire leads, if light comes on, bad switch.

And...HD had recalls on this issue, but I have no clue if your bike's affected b/c you don't list anything indicating your ride...??

Does light come on if you pull front brake? If so...then it's "obviously" tied to the rear and, in most cases, the switch went bad.

I have same problem. Its been that way since I got it so I thought there was only a switch on the front.I always use my front too so it realy don't matter to me.

My rear light is out also and it's that damn hard to get to pressure switch. On my build, it's tucked so far up there you can't get a wrench on it. It looks like I may have to cut the side out of a deep socket to even get something on it.
