Default Headlight Modulator

Anyone out there use one of these. Do you think they are effective in making us more visible? Seems like it should.

If you use one, what brand. I found this on line and installation seems a snap (see video on site).

Also, can you use a headlight modulator with an LED replacement headlight?

I installed one a few years back. I think it is a nice safety feature to have. As he mentioned in the video it is only on with high beam. Off with low. I don't have it on all the time, but it does make you more visible when you do feel the need. I forget what brand I used.

When I bought my 1998 Valkyrie it had one on it. It went out and I did not replace it. Because. When it was activated and flashing. People thought it was an emergency vehicle. When i would get close enough that they could see it was not an emergency vehicle they would just pull out in front of me. So. it turned out to be a liability instead of an asset. Just run with head light on. Which is law in most states. Accept the fact that all except 2 wheelers are out to kill ya.

I've been using one for years on all my bikes. It definitely makes you more visible. It is not a magic bullet, but it is a good tool.

Some do think you are an emergency vehicle, but I have never had one pull out in front of me when they realized I wasn't. But I've never ridden in Waco.

I do turn it off when behind other bikes.

Got no idea about LED compatibility.

Link below to the brand I use.

Good point and well made. You have never ridden until you have ridden in WACO.
