In my opinion you're already on a touring bike. Calculate how much you'll take it in the pants by selling or trading, then put that towards bad azz mods and things to make you're fatboy a touring bike. You'll have an awesome bike just the way you want it for thousands less.
There's plenty of luggage and other long haul accessories out there.
