Anyone know of a product that can be used to restore color back to black leather? Not synthetic, I'm talking about actual genuine cowhide. I purchased a nice old travel bag, but it could use a good conditioning as well as some 'minor" color restoration in some areas. I thought about black shoe polish, but this bag is way too nice and if there is something better to use, I'd rather go that route. Thanks

Your going to have to get a leather dye to fix the color. After that is done use mink oil

Hands down! No question! Use Doc Bailey's Leather Black. I have an RKC with leather bags and had leather bags on my Sportster before this. This stuff is great!

You could also try giving it a clean with some saddlesoap and then using Harley's leather dressing on it.

Doc Baileys is a remarkable product. I think I would never have had to buy a new leather if I knew about it in 1971 when I bought my AMF Harley jacket. They didnt have a bunch of advertisements on them then. Just good horsehide jackets. I now use it a couple times a year and love the stuff.
