on their way down to Daytona, they had a detour on I95 today near my place and all (or most) of the gas stations had folks headed to Daytona taking a break. Saw lots of trailers, most of the folks were coming from the NE. A lot of nasty stuff on their vehicles. I'm about 1/2 way down for them, so all of'em are about 1/2 way now!! Hope they have fun, sure wich it were me
The one thing that keeps me from Daytona Bike Week is that I won't go without riding the whole distance and, fromwhere I live (Washington State), that'd be one ugly-*** trip in March - at least for the first 1000 miles or so.
My buddy just got to Daytona last night and gave me a call. He was amazed at the number of people with trailers who had pulled off the road and were unloading bikes about 10 miles out of town. I guess it was so they could "ride" to Daytona. I don't have anything against those who trailer, but why not get to your hotel or campground and unload? Just seems a little sillly to me.

Whats the big deal about using a trailer, are you a 1%er that would get his *** wacked for not riding? No! most of those guys dont even own bikes since the price went up on harleys 15 years ago. So who you kidding, trailer it if you dont want to ride that far, its to bad of weather, your health is not as good as it once was or whatever the reason. To be there and enjoy the moment is much better than pretending to be some macho biker, that we all know we are not a 100% of the time. Sit your a$$ on the couch and let the bike gather dust till one day youre on your death bed telling somebody, in a weak old rattled voice, I nevveer trailllereddd my bike. Whats that? No I never made the big rallies too far to ride. LOL
