The local Harley dealer has had this really cool '09 CVO fat bob since March or April. I've always said if I had a 2nd HD, this would be the one but the price was too high to justify having it as a "garage queen".
Over the months, I've kept my eye on it and watched the price go down 3 times.
Today, I went in and told them I would give them $15K cash out the door for it.
Guy said the best he could do was $17,995 + Tax & doc fees.
I told him my original offer was the highest I would go.
Oh well. Win some, lose some.. She sure is pretty though.
I'll be interested to see if they're still sitting on it at the end of the riding season..
sweeten the deal a little for them. tell them you'll finance 15k. then after you get your first bill, pay it off. they get some money on the financing, and you 'steal' the bike
probably still wouldn't go for it, but never hurts to try.
Don't think they will ever take your offer.
Black Book Powersports:
$17,815 - Finance Advance
$25,299 - MSRP Value
$20,905 - Avg. Retail
$17,820 - Auction Wholesalse
$16,440 - Clean Trade
$14,725 - Fair Trade
I would think that price has pretty much hit the bottom, and it should probably be worth that several years from now. If I had the money, I'd buy it, ride it for a couple of years and sell it for the same price.
