Set up a camera! That way, you'll have by the nads. It may cost but it'll pay off with peace of mind, knowing you'll catch the scum sucking pigs.

Start shooting the suspects till one confesses, then burn him/her slowly...

That was a joke, don't do that.

The WHOLE story sounds odd to me. Seriously, very few people had access to the bike in a locked garage. IF a family member did it, they must have had a pretty big hard-on for him. IF someone else snuck in and did it while OP was in there doing something, they must have had a pretty big hard-on for him.

If it wasn't an accident or break from age/deterioration, then someone really doesn't like OP and then it makes me wonder what he did to **** off someone that much. So, I'm gonna go with the theory that OP is a menace in his neighborhood and someone is just letting him know how much of a dick they think he is!

I say set up the camera and invite the same people over as before, one at a time. Watch to see if one of them looks at the fuel lines, or does something again.

It wasn't:
1 Your friend. You were helping him save money w/ the brake job
2 The 80 yr olds. They're not good at sneaking around and probably would forget why they were there once they managed to sneak in.
3 Your cousin. Blood is thicker than gasoline.

It was either:
1 Your bro-in-law. In-law relatives can really suck. Jealousy or a lame try at a seriously stupid/ dangerous joke.
or...
2 COL Mustard, in the garage, with the pliers

I'm not an FBI Profiler, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.:
