vandalized bike..
i was out cleaning my garage tonite. went to fire my wife's sportster up to move it to the other garage, as soon as i turned the fuel on, it poured gas everywhere. i thought the float might have been stuck so i went to tap on the fuel bowl and noticed the line was broke. the bike hadn't been ridden in a month, just sat in my locked garage. i thought maybe the line was old and brittle or something, it must have broke when i bumped it. anyway, i took it off and noticed the fuel hose was in great shape, it had obvious marks from being cut with a pair of side cutter pliers.
i had a friend over while i changed the brakes on his truck 2 weeks ago, my sisters husband and my cousin was in the garage hanging out with me a month ago.. other then that the only chance some one would have to get to it would be if a neighbor (the only two neighbors are 80yo couples) snuck over while i was out there doing something and stepped inside for a few minutes.. i really wouldn't think any of them would have messed with the bike, but it didn't cut it self.

Is it a loud bike someone didn't want to hear running? Could someone think they cut the line to cause a fire or explosion?

Yeah, that's no accident. You have a short list there, shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Do NOT go to jail over this. It's phuked up but if you beat the $hit out of someone, YOU are the one going to jail... just sayin'.

Dammed if I wouldn't have called the law and had some fingerprints checked out. And reason I say this is you never know if they tampered with some safety system and end result was an injury or death.
