I haven't ridden either of these yet if the weather ever clears up I might get a chance to do so. Right now I am going to ask those that have one or have ridden both to weigh in here.
Is one model better handling than the other? What would be the advantages of one over the other?
2 different dealers have one of each in stock in the color I like making the choice more difficult.
Think you can get a better deal on the SG. But there won't be any more RG's for a while and they might be a totally different beast when they do come back. Grab a RG and you possibly will have the last of an era machine....maybe.
I bought the RGC because I liked the look and wouldn't trade it for anything BUT, I would probably feel the same about the SG if that's what I had chosen.....I never rode one.
Ride both and see what grabs you.
It's not near as hard as figuring out which exhaust, intake, & tuner to put on it!
I did sit on the RGC at the closest dealership and thought the fairing was in a strange position. Maybe it not moving when the handlebars do is a good thing? But then I am only use to a windshield being up there. Tomorrow all the dealerships are closed here so maybe later in a week I can get to try them out.
I kind of hate to do the accessorizing all over again.

This is a good point.
Like everyone said, ride 'em both and then you decide. Personally, I like my SG, but I've heard that the RG is a better ride (never rode one). I just like the more low profile look of the SG.
