My last bike, I drilled the baffles. I'm going to drill out my new Harley's tomorrow. Once that is done, the upper engine noise isn't that noticable. Another issue I ran into. I can't hear the engine speed with the stock pipes. It's driving me nuts. I'll be glad when I fix it.

Just for fun, I put my extra set of SE pipes on the bike andafter a few minutes of the roaring racket, I re-installed the stock pipes. Yes, it does run better with the SE pipes, but I've had enoughhearing loss already.
