Well, it seems to me, that a engine block redesign would be necessary to allow placement of a VVT oil control solenoid, and the necessary oil passages to pressurize it. There would also have to be major ECM software changes to accommodate this. I could see this more on a DOHC engine.

The only real benefit I could see off of using VVT on a motorcycle is for..... Emissions! With VVT an EGR is eliminated, so our NOx emissions and combustion chamber temps would be lowered.. With no real credible power gains.

Maybe the V-Rod could be the guinea pig for such a waste of R&D.
