Just installed a 8000K 55 watt HID light kit from DDM Tuning. The kit went in with no problems and installs in about 30 min. I did have to bend the clip a little bit that holds the bulb in place. I also put a tie wrap on the main plug just to make sure it doesnt vibrate loose. Other then that everything went in without a hitch. The whole system fit nice and neat inside the factory HD housing. I do have it all sitting in the housing but once the light is back in, it holds everything in place. I have been running it for about a week now and it shows no signs inside the housing of anything moving around. I have not had any problems with any error lights come on and hope not to see any. I will have pics up later tonight of the brightness of the light. This kit is definitely worth the price over the price of the led kits.
2 questions.
1. Is the ballast gonna get too hot?
2. Is 8000k too bright/blue?
I just installed a set of 4300k, very happy with it. I wish I have a 7" light bucket to hold all the pieces lol.

I have not had any overheating problems yet and the 8000k to me is just right. It doesnt blind the hell out of other drivers and it has just a little bit of a blue tint. It lights the road really well. Remember I have the 55 watt not the 35. With the 55 it is not as much blue as with the 35.
