A smaller CA rally called Motorcycle Madness comes to my town every year, but it's basically a non-event to those who live here. It's held at the fairgrounds and, unless you went looking for it, you might not even know it's taking place. Outside of the fairgrounds, there's no central gathering place, no main street to park and parade, just a few bars and restaurants that draw modest packs of bikes. My wife and I dropped in once a few years back, but it was no more than the usual: some custom bikes, loads of vendors selling the same stuff, a bikini contest, etc. We never went again.
