It looks like there are more reflectors/deflectors or something of the sort in the second one. I'm assuming it was designed to make up for the inadequacies of the original Daymaker and fill in all of the "blind" spots that it had e.g. the 6 or so feet in front of the bike and the majority of the peripheral areas...
If anyone knows the difference in actual output, please share your knowledge here. I'm sure there are quite a few more than myself that would be interested to hear...
My Daymakers have no "blind " spots, they will on the other hand make you see spots if you at them.
Yeah yeah, you have two headlights though. My 5 3/4" original Daymaker definitely disappointed me. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously bright as all hell...
But the cut off lines leave a lot to be desired around hard turns and freeway loops...
