Did I make a jacking mistake???
I used my jack today for the first time on my Deluxe. To get it to balance correctly, I realized it was under the shocks. It was on the jack for maybe 5 minutes. Did I do any damage and how would I know?

Those shocks are very beefy and rubber mounted. I doubt you hurt them, but I always have avoided that. If they got bent, you would know I would think. It probably wouldn't let the rear suspension move correctly and they might leak. Good Luck.

Even though the shocks are there, I think the frame rails are lower than the outer diameter of the shocks. If you can't see any damage (dents) in the shocks, I'm sure they are fine.

I use the HD Orange Rubber strips that allow the bike to be jacked up on the frame rather than the shocks

all of this talk is fine and dandy. However, I have one question. Aren't the shocks designed to hold up the wieght of the entire motorcycle? Duuuuhhhh!!!! Of course I forget that the shocks on these softails are horizontal!!!??? Yes I would worry about it, lose sleep over it, and fret over it until it ruins my week. Then I would look to see it there was any damage.
