Every time I see one of these 'pistol packin' Pete' threads, in my head I hear the tune "Macho, Macho Man" by the Village People. I always also wonder how many of you modern day gunslingers have ever actually shot another person, let alone killed them. Talking/posturing about it's one thing; doing it is another. Just sayin'.
Are you being serious?? You almost sound like your view of guns andpeople who carry gunsis that portrayed by some Hollywood movie or some La-La-Land liberal news channel.
Normal people do carry guns. Normal people who trust themselves to be safe and responsible while carrying. Normal people who don't want to shoot or kill anyone, but will in order to protect themselves and others.

It's probably more correct that the person who is a Macho Man is someone who thinks they are invincible against the criminals of our society and doesn't need a weapon for self-protection.

It's rather common for Chicken Little types to respond in that manner. I am sorry that my choice to carry a concealed weapon gives you an inferiority complex.
It could be said it's common for 'macho' types to resort to throwing names around to justify their position. I just hope you never have to actually shoot and kill someone, because it lives with you . . . trust me.

Colt .357 Magnum Carry (like a Detective Special) in IWB at the 5 o'clock position....usually a loose tank top over it... and/or a Walther P38 (.380) in the inside pocket of my jacket. I haven't carried my Glock 30 while riding yet..I need a good IWB for it right now all I have is a OWB

No CCW permit required. My Kimber Ultra CDP .45 loaded with speer gold dot hollowpoints is always with me http://www.speer-ammo.com/products/gold_dot_prsnl.aspx. I carry it in a OWB Bianchi carrylok leather holster. It is always CONCEALED and if someone happens to see it they will also see my star on my belt next to it. Thanks to H.R 218 I can carry anywhere / anytime without having to be concerned about each state's laws / regulations. http://www.mdsp.org/downloads/LEOSA_2004.pdf

So do I and most every other law abiding citizen that takes responsibility for their own safety. No one wants to take another human life but there are those of us who are prepared to make that decision and prefer to have that choice. Rather than our only choice being to duck and run and hope the bad man goes away. What is more difficult to live with is NOT defending myself of my family from those who would do us harm. If you think that's being "macho", you're certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how flawed.

BTW, your Village People reference opened the door for all manner of retort, don't cry about it now.

JohnT there are alot of Leos who havent shot anybody either. I am not a LEO but do train and am one of several certified instructors at www.rangemaster.com and we have 2 to 3 students involved in shootings a year. All of them have been justified!!!! The original post was for those of us that do carry what our equipment was. As for me its a Nighthawk Talon 1911in a Milt Sparks VM2 holster, 2 spare magazines in Comp-tac single magazine pouches, Kahr PM9 in an ankle holster w/ spare mag.

Two of our students were killed but both were UNARMED at the time of their demise.
