Years ago a thought about it and got set up to do so.Then decided it really wasnt needed. It's the Company I keep.A friend I knew packed all the time,no need for 2 packing.Besides, I always enjoyed hugging the Ladies!
Once you've carried on the job for any length of time you do tend to be comfortable having one. I am not LEO anymore but I carry. A derringer fits nicely in my jacket inner pocket. Also on occasion a boot holster works.
Ride thru chicago packin, and you' may spend the nite at Cook Cty. jail. You won't get your gun back, but you may make some friends.Anyone here about Tank Johnson? His bodyguard bumped into a guy on a dance floor,so the guy shot him to death right there. And Tank is probably going to do time for playin badass by shooting his gun off in a county where it's illegal. So it's not a right everywhere.I almost wish they'd give gangbangers shooting lessons, they kill so many innocent people just sitting on their front steps.
I carry through Chicago all the time. You don't have to worry about going to jail in Chicago for carrying a gun... You have to worry about doing ANYTHING in Chicago. If you are not a gang banger you have a better chance of ending up in county.

I have yet to have an issue with a lady finding my firearm on me whilst huggin'. =) And nothing wrong with 2 packing. Kinda like when people ask me why I carry an extra mag... Why not? The way I look at it... If I cannot protect myself with 30 rds whoever is trying to do me harm probably just won and earned it.
Texas Permit holder.
Glock 23 (40 cal.)
Never carry on me, it stays in the truck.
Only time I take on the scoot (in the saddle bag) is on overnight trips. And that is just to have in the Motel room. You never know what part of town you made the reservations in.
