And what if you get a bit jittered some day and use it?
How does time inside feel.
Not sure why anyone wants or needs to carry
If someone has a bad day... and they then feel they have the NEED to pull their gun on someone... odds are they have been in trouble with LEOs before... if that is the case... they would not be able to get a CCW for the most part.
It not about wants or needs... it is about a crazy world that we all live in. If I am given the choice to protect myself and my family I am going to do it. Thankfully I live somewhere that allows me the opportunity to carry a firearm for protection.
Please keep in mind that the idea of the CCW is to allow people to take a defensive posture not an offensive one. I find it ammusing that so many people that are against concealed carry assume that everyone that is carrying a pistol is going to slap leather every time they see someone spit on a sidewalk.
If the local gang bagers (or whatever you have in your area) can carry illegally and not go to jail I should be allowed to carry legally to protect myself.

I carry a firearm 24/7 as is my constitutional right to do so. I carry it like insurance, I pray that I never need it, but if I do I will be glad it is there. You will find most, not all but most people who carry a firearm for protection are people who maintain a sense control of their surroundings, they are very aware of what is going on around them and who is around them. They are people who will avoid trouble if at all possible not go looking for it.
Just because somebody carries a gun for self protection doesn't make them more likely to slide off the deep end, quite the contrary.
By the way, I carry a either a Glock 23 or a 27 usually in a inside the waistband holster or a shoulder holster if on the bike and wearing my leather jacket. Damn near impossible to get to an inside the waistband gun when leathered up.
Although, if I were to CC, my weapon of choice would be a 45 Colt 1991A1 Compact (tuned-up a bit) and a few mags of pre-ban Black-Talons or Hydra-Shock in a shoulder holster; hard to draw quickly from waistband with a lot of leather and riding gear like bosnmate pointed out.
When I go through or into badlands, Norfolk Va is the only place I carried regularly, worked in a drug infested area in south Norfolk, nightly shootings, usually worked past dark.
I carry because the Commonwealth of Massachusetts says I can. Also George Bush gave me the right to carry everywhere in the Contintental US of A.
Glock 36 in a SOB Glaco holster and that is everyday riding or not.
its just a stupid pic..... i didnt think that the American flag would offend you
also i dont understand how ask riders their advice on the most comfortable way to carry their perfectly legal weapons on the can be misunderstood as immature
As a LEO i would think that you would want to protect all of the citizens on this great country and their rights. all their rights not just the ones you seem fit.
what is it that you dont like about the pic?
is it the flag?
is it the bandana? because no one here as ever seen anyone riding a motorcycle with a bandana covering their face.
Is it the jeans andsweatshirt? Is it the guns ? Cause they they are all legal.. i passed all my background checks
Is it the fact that i have a right to have just as much fire power as my local LEO?
beleive me , as a LEO I am the least of your worries

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Weapon of choice is a 1911 in .45ACP. Fortunately, experience has taught me to avoid situations that could escalate into running gunbattles. If I were still a LEO, I would probably still pack the 45 and spare clips 24/7, but as a private citizen I'd rather call the guns-n-badges to handle the idiots of the world. If I didn't feel the need to be able to defend others (like my wife) I wouldn't carry at all.
Back before cell phones, I stopped in a bad part of Fresno one evening to help a woman with small kids change a tire. About the time it was ready to go, along came two cars of bangers. One pulls in in front, the other in the rear. Out pop 8 socially and economically disadvantaged youth, looking for entertainment and profit. They expressed their intentions to commit various felonies upon us as they approached. I had the woman join the kids in the car and waited until the leader was about ten feet away. I then drew my S&W M66 from my holster and allowed him to view a hollow-point from the end of a 2.5" barrel. I informed him that he would pay the ultimate price for the actions of his homies if anyone moved any closer. I was prepared to kill him, and he understood. Fortunately, they were not carrying - I'd have had to kill him. They decided to seek entertainment elsewhere, retreated and left. I waited until they were gone, then escorted the woman and kids to the CHP station. In today's world, it might have been very different.
