Default Drilling a solid wheel

Wondering if anyone has ever drilled a solid Fatboy wheel. I'm looking at putting one on the front of my scoot and was thinking about drilling several holes equally throughout just for looks. Nothing fancy, just round holes using a drill press.

P.S. I'm not looking to get in to the solid wheel debate. That's been beaten to death.

Well I drilled the holes all the way through, then polished the wheels.
They are much thicker than they look. Love the look, then HD changed the style to drilled holes:-)
If you wanted big holes it would be pretty easy to do and I thought about doing it but likes the look of just the small holes, just have a way to balance them once they are done before putting on tires.
Oh yea, If I was going to do it I would not use a hole saw, but use a spade bit with a pilot hole to center it. Use your pilot holes to lay out your pattern.

Years ago I saw a Fatboy with solid wheels and instead of holes the wheels had Harley shields. Looked great but don't have pics as I don't have that cell phone anymore.

There are several places that cut fatboy rims.
Here is one of them.

There are also places that will turn the cast marks off and chrome them.

This would be a real easy job for a local machine shop in your area. They could indicate the wheel in and have the holes evenly spaced so they look real nice. And if done this way minimal balancing should be required because the spacing would be round and even.
