cam cover stuck

Default cam cover stuck
took all the bolts out of cam cover and its still glued on tight. have been smacking with rubber mallet for an hour. dont want to pry on aluminum. getting desperate. please help

Try a little heat like from a glue gun not a torch

after looking closely im gonna guess there is a special slide hammer tool that utilizes the screw holes for the decorative plate in the center of cover ? please help.

i have a hot air gun from a shrink wrap machine. gonna try that .. thanks

Simple. First keep 2 bolt in the cover loose. Take a razor and run it along the gasket. Give her a love tap. Your welcome.

Block of hard wood...

cut into a wedge. Won't mar the edges, and it will separate the parts if worked (tapped with hammer) around the entire edge.

Sometimes there is a little slot between the 2 surfaces for prying apart with a screwdriver. Not sure on TC, but you might wanna check.
