Default headers

Hi everyone got my 2012 Ultra Limited and now thinking about getting new headers, looked at V&H power duals, fullsac, fuel moto, S&S power tune duals. I currently have a new set of V&H 4.5 twin slash ovals and a stage 1 intake, just confused as with cross-over or x pipe would be the best option??????

As with many other mods. Hard to say one of any of them is BEST..

Do what Ur doing,, learn in here As much as U can from others. Research and learn what Ur can then find/get what U like.

Now.. my son put the V&H's 2-1-2 on his St Glide,, and they are the best...

I put the V&H "x pipe" on mine, PCV, no 02 sensors. I lost about 5 mpg but the bike is running much cooler( not as lean and no cat)...much more oomph as i went from 58 to 74 hp after a dyna tune...i got Older V&H slip ons as well..louder..sounds like a hot rod , not too raspy and not too loud for long tours. overall, i am happy but thinking i wish i would have kept the 02 sensors and just de catted my header instead..
food for thought anyway...

Not all headers are created equal.

If you're going to retain the use of the O2 sensors, make sure the header has properly placed bungs (both location and depth).

Nothing quite as frustrating as replacing the entire system only to find out you can't tune the bike because of bad bungs.
