I have looked at these jackets and I am considering buying one with the pants as well. Does anybody wear one of these today and if so what do you think of them? Worth the money. The jacket is about $500 and the pants $450
I have a Harley textile conveertible jacket which I think listed for 350 I got on special it has been a great jacket I've had it for 7 years I add a heavier jacket for winter sriding on top of it. It has extra CE padding in the shoulders, back, and elbows. I also wear First Gear HT Over pants which have a removable insulated liners and they also are water proof and have extra padding. During rain I just need to add wind breaker to stay dry
I have a cloth FXRG jacket that is primarily blaze orange. I got it as a rain coat off Fleabay. The O. L. worries about being seen by idiots so I got this to make her feel better. WE both have leather FXRG jackets & love them. The thing is I'D NEVER pay retail for them. They are very nice but not what the MoCo thinks they are worth. Fleabay or nothing & for about a third for what they list is.
It's not the FXRG line but this HD mesh jacket works great for warm/hot weather in FL. The removable liner is easy to store away and put back in for pop up rains.
I have the leather one and wear it when it is real cold. Being your in Canada I would think you would get a lot of use. I wish it were lighter weight but then it wouldn't do the good job it does.
I had the FXRG textile jacket and pants for around around 6-7 years. They are well made, and held up well over the years. It's nice to have waterproof gear without having to put on a rainsuit. I don't have the jacket or pants any longer, they wore out and I started having problems with zippers and waterproof seams.
I currently have an FXRG leather jacket that I wear fairly often, but just for local riding.
For longer rides, I have an Aerostitch Darien jacket and pants. (I also have a Roadcrafter suit, but since getting the Darien, have stopped wearing it.) If you're not too concerned about looks or wearing H-D branded items, take a look at Aerostitch. The price is going to be around the same, but for touring, I've found the Aerostitch items easier to work with. Aerostitch is also US made, and they will inspect and repair suits conveniently by shipping them back.

For Textile I really like my First Gear Kilimanjaro Jacket. For leather, Fox Creek. I'd like an FXRG jacket but I'm not really willing to pay anything close to list price or even 1/2 list price for one.
