Whats wrong with a 103

I have a 103 and it's great, I did have to disarm it once manually at a gas station. It's easy if you have the owners manual.

I just pushed mine down the road 50 metres then when alarm stopped going off, started bike and rode away...people looked at me funny when pushing bike with alarm going off

Thanks all, I agree, have had 1340, 1450 and a 96 and none can compare to the 103 and no issues with reliability at all. Someone said maybe he was jealous....Maybe .

I know a lot of fuel in the States is a bit suspect but that would not be an issue would it ?.

Bought mine new in 2005 & still have it, no problems with engine just a electric prob once & I got that figured out & corrected.

I have owned a 103 A and now a B, both great engines, no issues.

My 103 must be the lemon here.
14,500 miles...the compensator has to be replaced.
16,000 miles...the counterbalance has to be replaced.

32,000 miles in just over 2 years.

Only issues with the engine itself is a weeping oil seal around the Stator plug - nothing desperately serious...

'12 RK with 103 stg 1. Runs awesome and haven't had any issues at all.
