That's a shame considering all the other positive posts. Was it a new bike, was it under warranty, what did the dealers say about the issues, the mind boggles with the possible reasons.
Just fitted a new Metzeler front tyre today, now at 22000km and no issues at all.
A lot of the posters have like me had a Stage 1 kit fitted, wonder if that helps. here in NZ almost all that buy HD have them opened up as HD really have their basic models choked due to State restrictions we understand, but I stand to be corrected on that issue.

if you don't know your pin code, or if you haven't changed it from when you bought it, i strongly suggest that you do, and then familiarize yourself with the procedure. there are a whole bunch of threads on here from people who call the hd security 'crap' simply because they didn't know how to use it and got themselves stranded.
Yep, know the code or should I say its in the manual in the top box but was just quicker to push it...should add that it was downhill...LOL. Strangest look I got was from the cop that went past..he didn't bother stopping, guess I have an honest face
Besides I would still have had to push it away as the electronics would still have interfered with the alarm

no, you wouldn't have. the override code shuts the alarm off, until the next time you shut the bike down.

Dealer said that's all the power they make.
For many I'm sure it's just fine, not for me though.

Not a shame, I knew this going in, got a damn nice bike that was just short on the power I thought it should have.

Fixed that, and now can't wait to ride it again once spring comes.

I'm betting I'm not the only one who bought a HD and modified it..

Yep...not to many standard ones out there My 103 with the Stage 1 suits me just fine. I don't want to ride one with a 110 or I will then want that one
