Sorry if this is a stupid question, but am currently debating between 11 and 12 FLTRX. When you get a 103 Power Pack was the motor originally built a 96 and then "rebuilt" to 103 specs or is it a 103 from the start? And if it is rebuilt to 103 does that its quality any different than if it was originally built at 103? Basically, is the '12 103 same quality as the '11 103 PWR Pack?
If you read the .pdf, you'll see that among the changes are stronger clutch diaphragm spring.
There are other changes as well, that the buyer can decide whether they have value to them.
These MY pdfs are released each year and can be a great way to track changes and determine value...in my case last year I found that the differences between a 2011 vs a used 2009 were not enough ( for me) to justify the extra 35% it would have cost.

THE motor is EXACTLY the same!!! He asked about the 103.... not the clutch, the paint or other little do dad change.......The motor is identical from 11 to 12............or for that matter 2010 in the limited....
Wrong !! You did not search the dealer confidential pdf files he was referring to. There are several advantages the 2010 motor has over the 11 & 12 motors and vise versa. I am glad I got a 2010. 2011 and 12s have bushing-less cam plate, bushing-less rods, new induction module & throttle body. On the better side the 11s did get new compensators.

Did the 11 have an oil cooler? I know the touring bikes on the 12 do. Not sure about the softtails with the 103 and I know the 103 Dynas do NOT have the cooler.
