first things first: gotta get those ***** out of her purse. imho. i am actually going thru the same exercise with my sig other. my preference is for her to learn to ride since she likes fast cars and big engines. although i do enjoy having her on the back, the physics of a rider high on the back is still a drag.

Depends on the size of the one on the back trust me , my ex was a size 1 with a D cup bra never knew she was back there and we hammered many a mile together . Don't which I miss more her rack or her riding ability as a passenger
My son's mom was a size 5, as in 4'11" and 97#'s when we were together.
Was your ex a woodland Elf?
And yeah, good memories. She and I racked up a lot of miles on the bike as kids, she would just hang on and never a peep no matter how stupid I was.
Chris was a shade under 5' at 100lbs on a good day and most of it was chest biggest she ever got was a loose size 3 . Woman loved to ride as much or as hard as I did , was fun when we came across one of those winding hill roads that just begged to be ridden hard & fast , she's slap me on the back and shout " Get it " and it was ***** out till the next stop . Miss that woman for that alone .

Yeah, we rode all over New England and had a hell of a time.
We've been divorced over 35 years but we are still friends, and get together often. Her husband is good with it, and I am often invited to family functions with his family.
To this day she still talks about the fact that she never knew that State Troopers had numbers on the roof of the car until we went up a steep incline over a railroad track and got air so she could look down and see it. She was a great passenger and we had a hell of a lot of fun just being kids and free.
Sorry about the hijack, we "mature" guys like to reminisce at times.
You might want to ride her down to your local Harley Dealership on your bike. Have her shown around to the different models by their salesman. You keep totally out of it.
Let her sit on a bunch of new and used bikes so she can determine precisely what would be satisfactory to her. Note color preferences, peg vs. Footboard selections etc.
This way she will have ownership over the decision, then if she is still uncomfortable it will be due to her selection, and you can be as supportive as possible, while letting her know that if she is not happy, it will be no fault of yours.
Then you can select a bike that may make both of you happy, and set on down the road.
You will have your bike there to effect a trade in, and only after you select a bike that will make you BOTH happy, will you have the peace and quiet you so richly deserve.
